Kurt is a classically trained musician who spends his time creating interactive, immersive art experiences in collaboration with visual and performing artists. Compost Your Internet! is a project that he formed to explore solar-powered art making. This project uses solar-powered computers and website servers to turn data collected from compost piles at Dirt Wain in Fort Wayne, IN, into music and art pieces on the web.

He is also currently working on SoundWalk, an app that maps audio to physical space, allowing people to explore sound pieces as their body position directly controls elements of the audio. He also makes his own video games and composes music for other game developers. More.

Brian founded Indy Urban Hardwood, Indy’s original urban milling company. They recycle fallen Indianapolis trees into furniture and other artwork for your home, office, restaurant, and more. Zach Garcia – Carbon Sinks

Zach is Executive Director at the Wesselman Woods. Wesselman is a land trust in Evansville, IN that protects the largest old growth urban forest in the country.

After serving in the US Peace Corps, Zach earned a degree from the Yale School of the Environment then worked as a researcher with the US Forest Service before moving to Indiana. His personal mission is to connect people to nature. More.

REED DAVIS – Energy

Reed is Executive Director at the Indiana Conservative Alliance for Energy. Their main focus is the Hoosiers for Community Solar Initiative, which will enable households to subscribe to local solar farms which will make our electric grid more resilient.

Prior to his current role, Reed was a Field Operations Representative with the Land & Liberty Coalition which supports clean and renewable energy developments. He earned degrees in Political Science and Government as well as Criminal Justice and Corrections from Indiana University.

Ben is CEO at The Battery Innovation Center, a non-profit, public-private partnership serving commercial Industry, DoD/DoE, and Academia to rapidly develop, test, and commercialize the next generation of safe, reliable, lightweight, and cost-effective energy storage systems. The BIC’s mission is to accelerate innovation in the field of battery technology by providing access to the entire spectrum of R&D through to commercialization, including low volume production, in a single 40,000 square foot facility.
